Trap speed

I went to the track and cut a trap of 100.7 MPH. Unfortunatley my 60 was in the 2.3's do to me spinning of the line every time. My question is, if I can get the car to hook where should I be at about 13.8-13.9?

Re: Trap speed

I would say a 13.8 is very possible. I had a 95 z28 with 2.0 or 2.1 60' times(not sure off the top of my head) that went 13.7 at 100mph. That car was auto, .030 overbore, moroso cold air kit, flowmaster exhaust, no cat with stock gears(3.23).

Re: Trap speed

Oh the heads were shaved .020'' as well, but other than that it was just a stock rebuilt engine, nothing impressive.

Re: Trap speed

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. Ya I couldn't grip off the line at all. It felt like it wanted to go sideways the first 20 ft. Oh well next season will bring new parts and new times hopefully. I'm just glad to know that it should be running high 13's.

Thanks again
