I dont have an fbody, I just want one real bad. I signed up for this site looking at all the things you can do to them before I actually get one.

For now, I have a 1999 ford escort. Its got a 2.0 sohc, with probably 80ish horsepower to the wheels. Went to the track on friday, was just gonna watch cars, but the tech line was nonexistant so I was like what the hell. Passed tech, took her in the staging lanes. After high school, I was up (I was in the lane for slicks, but I didnt know any better.). I squared up with some old car, I have no clue what it was. I tried not to drive through the water, but I did a little bit. Got to prestage, and then stage. I held the brake, and gave it a little gas to hold it at about 3000 i guess. When the light turned green, I launched. Now, the crazy thing is, my tires spun a considerable amount. This is pretty surprising since I cant even get them to do that even if I try. This was the first time I had ever run any car on any track. My results were, RT - .602, 60 foot - 2.8, 1/8 - 12.24 mph - 50.2, 1/4 - 19.54 mph 71.2. Yea, I know the car is slow as hell. I ran it again, and didnt lauch nearly as good. My 60 foot was 3.1, and my 1/4 was 19.8, at the same mph as the 19.5.

 

wow thats really slow. Save your money and get something faster. Still I'll bet you can get into the 18s with better 60' lol

 

Im savin my money... I really want a 93-97 z28. I was looking at a 96 caprice 9c1 (with a 260hp LT1), for $1950 but the insurance was gonna be around $300 a month for me

 

man 300 a month is alot. I'll bet a camaro would be even more. I only pay like $70/mon for my camaro with full coverage. Allstate. I have a friend who was selling a '93 formula for like $2000 here in florida.
