tire pressure on ST at 1/4
tire pressure on ST at 1/4
alright i was curious at about what pressure should my tires be at if im runnin 245 50 16's on the 1/4??? or should i even adjust it at all?? its at 33-35 most of the time
It depends on the tire, track, car weight, track conditions, how the car transfers weight, what type of transmission, and how much power you have.
The only way to find out the proper, best pressure, is to experiment. With street tires start with factory street pressure and work down in 2 lb. increments down to mid 20s at the lowest. If you find a pressure that works better then go back to it and try up or down 1 psi.
For the best ets always use the highest pressure that will give you the same 60'. If 30psi nets the same 60' as 26psi then 30psi will net the best et and mph with the most stability.

+1 with the post above.
Dont go below 24psi on a street tire. As long as the car hooks up keep the tire pressure up.
THe higher you have the pressure the faster the car should run. Unless if its spinning, than drop it until it hooks up. good luck
