Suspension power loss?

Is there alot of power (HP/torque) lost from having a stock suspension? If so, what is a nice yet some what reasonably priced mod that will prevent that? I also dont want a hella stiff ride that I am embarrased to let anyone ride in. Am I being too picky?
Thanks

On a stock vehicle the single best mod for traction that you can do is drag radials and to go to the track on days when they prepare the surface well.

The stock suspension is reasonably stiff. The drag springs and soft shocks I have added have made my car ride softer. The 15" rims and tall tires soften the ride. The lack of a front sway bar in conjunction with these other mods affects the turning negatively. The six point welded bar stiffened up the chassis quite a bit.
