stud spacers for weld draglites?

Last night I tried borrowing my friends Weld draglites, they came off his S10 and said they should bolt right on, well everything slid on and the studs went on good, but we didnt notice that the wheel was sitting on the caliper and the car wouldnt move...

Where can i get bolt on stud spacers and what size do you think I would need. Im not sure what the specs of the rim are, but I can probably find out if needed.

You need to use some rims with less backspace.

It sounds like you're trying to fit 15" rims over calipers designed to fit inside a 16" rim.

You can buy just some spacers that slide over the studs. You dont bolt them on or anything they just lay on the studs and space your wheels away from your calipers. Look at Summit Racing or Jegs they are in there and have different width spacers too. I have them on my fronts with the Draglite skinnies.

Yes, thats what im talking about. The wheel will slide on over the calibers normal. But the outside of the caliper hits the the inner side of the spokes..

I need to know what size wheel spacer I need. 7/32, 5/16, or 7/16

With 15" x 3.5" Weld Draglites with 1.75" backspacing you need a 5/16" spacer. You will probably need longer wheel studs too because of the spacers.

Also, on some disc brake pads (NAPA in particular) the metal tabs that hold the pad in place on the caliper, the outside pad may hit the back of the wheel. All you need to do is flaten it out a bit with a hammer

Will I NEED longer studs? OR will it work just fine? Im only going to use them for about 3-4 runs with no street driving (just in the pits and such)

I kinda wanted to use the smaller 5/16 spacer but I dont know if thats good enough...

I do have longer studs in the rear but not on the front with the skinnies and have never had any problems.

DragLites will need longer studs even without spacers to pass a tech inspection.
