slicks
Stiff side walls, bad rubber compound, generally heavy tire construction. Unless your totally on a budget I wouldn't use them.
I know people that have tried them and road race slicks on his car, sure they are round and hold air but they weren't much better than the crappy tires he took off.

dirt track tires have softer side walls better grip than paved track tires. the Hoosier dirt boss were real good on street cars years ago. comparable to mh cheater slicks

I knew someone who tried used stock car slicks for a couple of years because he was able to get them real cheap. When he switched to real drag slicks he was much happier.
As mentioned above, they're not much better than a set of street tires. Just because they're "slicks" doesn't mean they're any good.
