Should I be happy?

This weekend I went racing. First full 1/4 mile passes on nitrous.

The car went 13.780 earlier this year, before the converter and trans were swapped, with the sub box out of the car (it weighs about 100 lbs by itself). This was with stock Firebird wheels (16")

My first N/A pass was 13.26 with the sub box in the car, on BFG drag radials at 18psi. I had 17" Torq Thrust II's on the front, and the rears were salad shooters with 255/50-16 BFG Comp-T/A Drag Radials.

My first nitrous pass was a 12.738 and the car felt good.

Second nitrous pass I aborted because I saw that the car was BAD lean.

Third nitrous pass was a 12.6. The car felt good and strong, but it was still too lean.

All my 60 foot times were in the 1.8 range.

On the nitrous passes, the front suspension fully extended and from the video clips looks like it actually got the driver's side tire just a hair off the ground.

After leaving the track, I went to put air in the drag radials for the 130 mile drive home and saw that I had turned the wheel inside the tire. One of the tires had a screw in it at one point, and I had it patched. When it was patched, the place marked the valve stem and wheel weight before breaking it down, so that they could put it back together the same way.

The wheel has moved about an inch from where it was.

So, should I be happy about this? Is this a testament to the traction of the tires, or the TQ that I put into them?

I know I need to add more fuel to the nitrous, and I believe that it'll get stronger when I do. I also think that putting a lighter wheel on the front would help (like the stock 16" Firebird wheels). Also, removing the subs from the trunk would help a bit too.

Yes you should be happy with that car

Looked really good going down the track, and those N/A ETs are really good for the mods you've got and weight.

I would be happy with those times personally. How big of a shot were you spraying?

A 100 HP wet shot, but it was SUPER lean, like 14.3:1

No more though, I got the AFR down to 12.5, and managed to up the shot too.
