Which rim size is better for performance? 16X8 or 17X8.5
More for street racing use.
16X8 or 17X8.5
I need to know ups and downs and which would all out be better before i waste money on a new set of rims... Should i keep my 16s or get chrome 17s???

The smaller 16" rim would be better for straight line performance, it's going to be lighter, have less reciprocating mass, robs less hp.
17"s would improve handling, the larger wheel and tire gives more tire contact area and the lower profile tires are better for cornering etc. Going with larger wheels/tires will rob some horsepower though. For street racing and with the hp you're making I don't really think you'd notice any difference in hp loss from 16's to 17's
