confused with times on gtech

alright. last year i ran a 15.2 at gimli ( actual drag strip). i didn't gtech it then but i know thats its 15.2 cuz it was all lazer and s***.

last year on the street i ran a 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. (gtech)

since then i redid my heads and my intake. and i pulled a 6.23 0-60 (gtech).

i did my 1\4 mile with my gecth and it only said 14.7 @ 100.1 mph. i dunno but that seems really strange to me. my mph on the 15.2 was only 90.1.

so how would i drop 1 a second off my 0-60. and pick up 10 mph. but only drop .5 off my 1\4 mile?

The G-tech or any other similar device will only give results based on input. If the vehicle weight is wrong etc, then the results will be wrong. 0-60 means nothing on the dragstrip.

Go to a track and get a real timeslip.

You'll find that the MPH on the GTECH is about 7 or 8% higher than what you run at a dragstip..but the ET isn't too far off at all.

Use it when you are at the dragstrip, if you can.

Well, I would think traction maybe.

I know that years ago I G-Teched one of my old combos and it said 13.2's@115 MPH. Went to the track a few days later and ran 13.0's@108 MPH.

So I would say your probably running mid-high 14's @95-97 MPH...not bad.
