Cool rearend gear change

Does anyone know why the 1995 Z28 Camaro(auto) does not respond to a rearend gear change from 323 to 373. My car 60ft did not improve nor 1/4 qtr et. My 60ft with 323 best 1.99 and best with 373 1.99 - these times are with street tires.

Deeper gear ratio = more torque multiplication.

More torque multiplication = more wheel spin.

You're probably overpowering the tires now and can't hook up. Time for some sticky tires.

This would be more appropriate in "Drag Racing...." rather than Advanced Tech. Moving it there.......
