Re: quick question

General rule of thumb is multiply the 1/8 mile split by 1.55 for a rough estimate. Depending on the car 1.54 or other close number may be more accurate but I have always used 1.55 as a starting point.

I use the same factor for a "street" suspension type car using relatively narrow tires. The better the traction, the quicker the 1/8m will be relative to the 1/4. Using my own two as examples.

Camaro: typical 1/8 = 6.70; typical 1/4 = 10.20. Factor 1.52 (lower number implies relatively poor traction typical of a hi-po street car)
Race car: typical 1/8 = 5.95; typical 1/4 = 9.40. Factor 1.58 (higher number implies good traction).

The Camaro traps @ 142-144, the race car about 140mph. Shows what traction will do for ET's.
