AFAIK, ET Streets don't have a steel belt, so I wonder what the hell is showing! It would be dumb to run a car at the track with two different size tires on the same axle. The car will want to go sideways, there will be a lot of strain on the differential, and running a worn out tire is just plain stupid.

Be careful.... Mickey Thompson has a habit of building each width tire in a particular size to a different diameter.

In the case of 26" ET Streets, a 10.5 is 26.1" diameter, an 11.5 is 26.3" diameter. Couple that with the huge width difference: 10.5 = 10.5" section, 8.3" tread; 11.5 = 12.0" section, 10.0" tread and I think you have the recipe for extremely unstable launches. Might not show up on a car with the times you are running. But you will be stressing the posi with different tire diameters on each side. Might be able to compensate with pressures, but it doesn't seem like its worth it.

ET streets and most other drag tires for that matter are usually only good for about 2 years max. These sound a lot older than that. I say 2 years because the rubber breaks down and starts to harden and then you have now stickiness to them anymore.

I'd stay away from them also!

Rich, They DO have belts, just laid on a BIAS (hence the name), apposed to radially.

Take care.

Steel belts though? I thought they were nylon.

Yes, Rich, He probably just thought they were steel and I didn't actually see he said steel.
