Cool Perfect 0.500 R/T

Went to the track for the first time this year and on only my 3rd run I nailed a perfect light. I lost the actual race to some GTO with a 454 but who cares. I won a $100 gift certificate at some performance parts store. And they announced it on the track's radio station too.

haha
they will also give you a 100mph club sticker if you get up over that, which is quite a feat at this elevation. of course I got one of those too though.

Congrats!
I haven't made it to the perfect light status yet. My best ever is a .501.

Heh heh heh, I also have one of those stickers.

I've raced that track a few times on Friday nights.

That's what I plan on doing, buying a nice little frame for it or something like that.

damn, I would have been so pissed if it was 0.501, I would have been tempted to give up drag racing altogether especially since the closest I have come prior to last night was a 0.54?. The tower official couldn't believe it was only my third run of the year. Maybe I'll scan it to put on my cardomain page

also, this was done on Friday the 13th! who said anything about that being bad luck

Thanks everyone.

It's pretty sweet, because the car has less than 25 runs in it's career, and I have hit two records already.

Maybe it's a sign. I need to take up pro racing

Launch just after the third yellow. not as it appears, but a split second after.

I find... you need to split the time between the last yellow and the green.

after the last yellow light, wait ¼ of the time and then just go

it will get you in the 500's every time, and if you're lucky a perfect light, it's hard but possible.

(of course its probably 90% fluke)

Nice...

I've gotten a .500 and a .501 before...releasing the clutch right as the 3rd yellow lights up..in an M6.
