Optimal shift point with stock cammed lt1?

Optimal shift point with stock cammed lt1?

I just installed my shift light in my 95 t/a and im curious what the optimum shift point would be with a stock cam...5600 rpms?

ON my stock exhaust manifolds my car stopped making power at like 53/5300, so goin above that was stupid IMO...now with long tubes and a tune to get some more top end 5600-5700 is optimal to me gotta hit the dyno with this setup thou

Overall most will say 5300-5600 on a stock Lt1

Depending on gearing it's usually best to shift a couple of hundred rpm above peak power. So, your 5,600 idea is pretty much right on.

I have my light set at 5500 so I probably shift at 5600. need a dyno to see where the power is

ok ill leave it where it is for now and see how the car does at the dragstrip...while the motor is stock i do have longtubes and 4.10s
