I have only been back to the track once since then, and was having traction issues so I asked the wife to take a vid from behind, then I had this 12.0 pass in 80+* temps and 1800+' DA...

I know, and I am pissed that I have not been able to get out to the trackand actually this is the first chance I have had to get online in over a month... 80+ hours of work a week sucks...

I am debating on going to a track rental this weekend if they still have an opening.

Those are some good #'s. I'm kinda lovin' the stock motor #'s I'm getting. I'm gonna do some more suspension and lightening this winter, before putting on the, shelf sitting, pacesetters and 1.6rr. I'm shooting for 12.5 before the power adding.

I would love to but due to my projects at work I am putting in a hell of a lot of time there, 96 hrs overtime in my last 2 week cycle. so the money is coming in which is helpful but I have no time to take the car out. I am hoping if the local tracks stay open a litle longer I might get my workload lightened in a few weeks, and can get to the track then, if not then next season, and I plan on being at the shootout so it would be cool if I can have a good showing there too if I didn't break the record before then...

LOL, that's 100RPM and what really matters is where it flashes to....I would rather run a 4000 stall for something like this attempt.

Hey, John. We're shooting for 2 record holding cars here. Sam Harvey ran 11.01 yesterday, at Cecil, with one of our 4L60E's in his stock internal LS1 car. We also watched Gavin Downes run his best ever (10.80) pass in his Grand National with one of our 2004R's. Not to mention that I went 10.87 @ 125 MPH in our '70 Camaro...With an untouched 4 year old n/A 386 SBC, and a 4 year old CPT TH350.

See, it's all in the transmissions

I agree, Frank...

But good news, I am still making progress. I finally got the car out for some testing for the first time this season and the day went something like this...

First pass 11.945 @ 114.43, with a headwind
1.640 60'
7.616 1/8
89.38 MPH
11.945 1/4
114.43 MPH

Second pass 11.947 @ 114.83, with the same headwind
1.637 60'
7.633 1/8
89.75 MPH
11.947 1/4
114.83 MPH

Third pass 11.912 @ 114.98, with the wind letting up and slower 60'
1.694 60'
7.610 1/8
90.10 MPH
11.912 1/4
114.98 MPH

Final pass of the night 11.860 @ 115.09, after it cooled off a little
1.639 60'
7.562 1/8
90.19 MPH
11.860 1/4
115.09 MPH

I will post up the slips after I get camera batteries, I was hoping to have vids of it but the camera died when my wife started recording the first pass...

heck yeah!! the MPH is getting there!!
you are so close, do you know the DA? these cold fronts have helped and extended teh good air season.
Congrats!!
How much more weight can you remove? or get the 60' down, the 1/8th mile is very close to my car...

I am sure you have but what about lock up timing, have you messed with that?

Man you are so close, I am happy for you but sort of wondering if I should try again, LOL.....
