True, but if I cut a 1.2 short time and you cut a 2.1 short time, chances are you'll be watching taillights for the rest of the race.

<--Still holds the record for fastest black 1995 Trans Am w/ 26" ET Streets, Moser 12-bolt, 3.73 gears, 4L60E, stock motor, Procharger and a tear in the driver's seat.

Re: new world record 60'

true thasts kinda obvious, but the point was what good is a record for 60 ft mark if you dont get there first?and the race is 1320 feet, not 60 ft,so who cares who gets to 60 feet first........we can what if thids all day..say i cut a 1.2,then pop the no2 and poof...wheel spin and the guy who cut a 1.5 60 goes right by me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........just enjoy the sport guys,,,go out have a good time enjoy the competition..remember theres always someone faster than you so dont try to be the fastest cause its impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: new world record 60'

Saw a 03 cobra pull a 1.15 we was working on a buds car heard something massive launch then it came rolling by like it broke. The anouncer then went holy ****, it turned a 1.15 60 ft. The reason it rolled by cause the guy quit. We went and talked to him and he got out of the car shaking. Said it scared the living **** out of him. It was full trim to.

How long have you been racing? If at all? Here's a clue: If you reduce your 60' by 1/10th second you will typically reduce your 1/4 mile ET by a similar amount. Make sense now???

Regardless, like others have said, that's a wicked 60' time. I'd love to sit in the passenger seat on a run like that.

Re: new world record 60'

wtf raptor.i undertstand if your 60 foot is faster your et should be faster, but obviously you dont understand my point, since when do folk care or keep records of 60 foot times?why is a 60 foot time so spectacular they you need to jump up and down over??????ok try this on for size,,,you cut a 1.2 60..and i only cut a 1.4,yet my reactionis a .4 on a .4 light vs your .8 ...whos wins?????why dont folk talk about reaction times????it all adds up to one thing, who gets to the end of the 1320 foot track first, not who gets to the end of the 60 foot track first

I kinda agree about SOME of records , but still it't not that serious. LOL

I get tired of SOME of the records and LIST , especially on the other board , and it does seem like people are making tooo many list just to have one, such as FASTEST CAM ONLY, SIX SPEED ,BLACK LT1 ,TRANS AM, WITH A PERSON UNDER 6feet 5 inches driving WITH DRAG RADIALS. LOL. But again it not that serious. I have never really heard much menotioned as far as 60 foot records ...... but hey. Too each his own.

Anyways, on another note nice sixty if it is indeed legitimate.

Probably you I would imagine. The "reverse" thing (aka, backward) is what gave the answer away

In all seriousness, there is a competition of driving backwards. So it isn't as silly as your implication
