new Dyno numbers..see within

finally, first 2005 visit to the track

weather was good, bout a 10 mile per hour head/cross wind. humidity had to be around 50% or less, and barmoter currently is 101.85, but then again this was about 8 hours ago so it always gets better in the evening. also no glue for the track! lmao!!! not for another 2 weeks i believe. i was not impressed, so i made some adjustments and off i went.

first pass, rolled out, and i do mean rolled out, hit it about 60 feet, ran a 11.85 @ 126.xx
it was fun regardless!

then ran and 11.5, 11.1. let it cool down for a bit. threw an extra degree of timing at it then went back out
came back around launched it at about 4500, ran a 10.993 @ 128.xx mph

then let it cool down, had a bite to eat, then went back out.... it gets good here

i had an aborted run, probably my best launch!!!! oh well. i didn't even bother to get the slip, car just died when i grabbed 2nd, so i hit the jr dragster exit, lmao!!!! i started to launch it harder.. 5700ish launch 10.6x, then gave it a rest, that was on a 1.51 60'

went back out for my last rounds of hot lapping..... 3 in a row.

10.59 @ 128.8x mph on a 1.49 60'
10.548 @ 129.00 mph on a 1.467 60' shifting at 7300
back shift lite down a tad, 10.546 @ 129.26 mpg on a 1.476 60' launching at about 6600 rpm. air fuel ratio was a tad bit on the rich sie at 11.4 :1 . ricers came in the gates and too late and by the time my buddy got done with his passes, it was too late, they were already in the lanes tearing up what little bite there was!

gotta update the signature now! i just wish i had a gear, it stil bogs at the top of first, not like it used to but a 4.56 gear would make alot of difference in et and eliminate that bog at the top of first. there are better times to come, but all motor stuff aside, time to drop in a bottle!

thanks to jim for the help at the track!!!! and congrats to him on his new p.b!!! he somehow was able to put me in the small groove i made for myself as i hot lapped the car. the last 3 passes were made in a span of about 10 minutes, have to check the slips later. cool down is for race cars

oh and sorry but i use the track as my dyno

On another note, you might've seen it already Taner. But I think you got competition.

Re: new Dyno numbers..see within

ha ha! video next weekend. it'll be even more worth it

Joe,

believe me I will be pushing it as hard as I can, especially if I can get a hold of a 35 splined 9" centersection. toss a 4.71 gear in there and go for 9's on motor. but that will have to wait I got something else to try first.

and actually i checked my slips, my best pass was on a 1.497 60' the better 60' was on the previous runs. and that was three passes in 8 minutes flat, lmao!!! i told my engine builder and he thought i was crazy!!! what better way to tell if it is going to hold up to some serious abuse.

And I was about to ask where the dyno numbers were. Good job. Car picked up alot from the changes you made. I'm running 4.56's out back in the 9". Love them.

Great job man. That's a nice N/A improvement. Can't wait to see what it does on the bottle.
