NEW carbed LT4 times with SLICKS!!

Now first off i havent gotton the carb tuned due to some BS thats been going on but anyway..my buddy let me use his slicks and we took it to the track...went through tech and i guess becasue it wasnt buys he didnt check for a driveshaft loop..needless to say i wanst going ot mention it..i pushed the car though the lanes on all 3 passes to gain as much temp consistancy as possible or attemp to anyway..got to the waterbox and did a burnout like the one in my sig...get staged and i held the rpms at 3 grand..i didnt jump off the cluthc more like a fast feather then layed into it...the car bucked and surged so i caosted down the track and tossed that run out..
the second run i didi the same burnout and staged again..this time i held the rpms at 4,500 and sidestepped the clutch and hammerd it...the car dead hooked bogged for 20-30 feet then took off
60: 1.82
330:4.97
1/8: 7.78
mph: 92.23
1000:9.879
1/4: 12.163
mph: 113.57

i saw the slip and nearly soiled myself..now i was really amped for the next run and said to myself..."im going ***** to the wall"...

i did the gratuitous burnout carried it past the line got some cheers and staged the car..
stage lites came on and the yellows started to fall and i dropped the hammer...the motor bouncing the revlimiter at 6,300 then green...BBBBAAAMMMM i dropped the clutch the car lept forward like hit in the @ss by a train...in the time from launch to the top of first gear i said to myself "im gonna powershift it f#&k it"...6,100 comes; revlimter for a split second then BAMMMMM grind cluck marbles in a washer...."sonuvab!tch" i said to myself as it coasted down the track..i turned off the emergency lane and pushed it back to were i was in the pits....

after messing around with it i drove it back home with 3rd 4th and 5th gear (with the accompying rattles and grinds lol)....i guess it broke the 1-2 slider and probly second gear. ....got it home put it in the garage and dorve back out here to NY a couple days later...my dad is gonna pull the tranny out for me and put in my other completly overhauled T-5 for some more thrashing while i continue to save for a g-force with strait cut gears and dog ring engagement....time for clutchless shifts baby!!!

i was definetly shocked that it lived through that launch..it HAD to be in the mid 1.7's easy.. and i could only imagine the slip that would of came back...but it didnt last with a hardcore shift with slicks....on the street id powershift it all day long but it would just lite the tires up...

like ive always said

"you wont run the time if your affraid to break it"

Wow..i was expecting more then 1 reply considering that im one of the VERY few if not the only running a carbed LT motor.....

as for the 1 reply lol...im running a centerforce dual friction clutch and it didnt slip not one bit..the tranny was the weak link here..next will be the rear end when i get my Gforce tranny...

Tough luck man. BTW, that is an interesting setup. What kind of numbers are you running, or think you are running?

when i did a baseline dyno on it it put down 360 ponies and 380 lb ft to the g\rollers..this is with no tuning on the carb,,, with some tuning its got another 20 in it..

with street tires and no traction it trapped 116 and with slicks on my only full run it trapped 113...
