Congrats John! I was just thinking about you last week and was going to pm you to see how things were going. I didn't know if you were working hard or hardly working on the beast!

Weight reduction is the key factor, most F-body owners aren't willing to give up as much as John or Shon did with thier cars in terms of gutting and removing items from the cars. The less weight you need to move the quicker and faster your engine can accelerate. Good air helps too, John's location is known for better air quality and that translates into hp, couple that with the light weight and hard work, PRESTO fast times.

I littleraly took a few pages out of your book (well, article to be more precise) and lightened the hell out of it. I took your hood idea and took more out of it.

other then that I took a lot of the wireing for items that are no longer used, TCS, ABS and all that jaz, not only did I pull the systems but every wire associated with them as well. I also have lightweight drag style front brakes, manual brake conversion, and CM lower A-arms, but other then that it has all the normal weight reduction, and not even most of it.

Almost all available bolt-ons in a very lightweight car, wel setup car that I have been tweeking for years. It is all up to how the package works together...

If that comment was placed as a dig at me, you can't be further from the truth.

1SlowFormula-What's nice with that one is you don't have to paint anything and the cost is just right.

Thanks for pointing out the elephant in the room Cowle.

Is that weight with you in it?

Yep, I just love the low budget tricks, your welcome.

I also spent 5 hours going through the main harness wire by wire eliminating everything in excess. Man, that was a load of work.

Pics we need pics, interior and under hood.
