New best today with the vigi.

Got the car back last saturday with a rebuilt tranny and a vigi 2800 stall. Car now has 3.42's in it rather then the 3.73's listed and the computer is not retuned for that or the new fuel pump thats in there now so it beats the rev limiter and runs a lil rich. So not an excuse just stating that there is some et left on the table.

New best was the last run of the day: 12.43 at 108 and some change. 1/8th mile was 7.91 at 87.xxmph. 60' was a 1.77

this was done with et streets mounted on pro stars. Lca's and relos for suspension. And a stock weight car.

I'm pretty pleased

Joe

Good time. Where did you run at? Rockingham? I know that is the closest 1/4 mile strip to Durham (I used to run the 1/8th at Roxboro when I lived in Rougemont).

Ran at fayetteville dragstrip. Just as close as rockingham and 10x stickier.

Nice run there Joe. With some weight out of the car and some skinny's up front you should get some 12.2-3's easily.

I think with it running right it'll see 12.3's and with some skinnies up front it might run what you use to run. But my goal is to run faster then what you did with the same mods. Not sure where to start taking weight out of it though. Since its still my only car.

I try to tell some of these local people how much a good converter helps but they will never understand until they get one and see the diff.

Congrats, but I hate you. We won't be racing again locally for five full months

Thanks for the congrats. The track here stays open on sundays through out the year so long as its over 40 degrees. Maybe you should bring the beast down here for some good cold weather action.

I think there is a bottom 12 somewhere in the car provided evertying is right since last time out as the day went on I was getting faster. I'm not sure how long I'm gonna keep those 3.42's in it. Yall think I'll gain much from stepping back up to the 3.73's vs the 3.42's that are in it now?

Old best was on street tires. It was a 12.75 at 109.87 with a 1.97 60'. I stepped down cuz I destroyed the 3.73's I had and needed some gears quick so I got some from a friend who had some laying around.
