New Best at thunder shootout..11.03 at 124.25

DAAANNNGGGEETTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! 11.dohs all freaking day long. Oh well..there is always next time.

whoever didn't make this event missed a great time. there were some crazy fast cars there. The track was hooking hard and the air was great. I set a new best

1.538 60'
11.03 @124.25

I still spun on this run about 6 ft out of the hole..so with alittle more suspension tuning I know I can get that 10 sec. NA pass. I really thing I should have run the brackets. All my passes after that were 11.09, 11.08, 11.08, 11.09. The air wormed up abit later in the day so the car slowed down and cost me about .05 it seems. Oh well...I had a GREAT time..came in second in the Modified stock Manual class(..I was the ONLY LT1 IN THE CLASs!!! ) so I was racing ls1s all freaking day. But it was some great competition and was fun running beside a car..bangin gears and seeing who was the baddest.

Also Ken95Z(something like that) set a new best of 11.7x on a cam only car...thats just bad ***. Congrats Ken and was fun to see you guys again. He took home the second place honors in the street stock auto class I believe.

Madman went a 8.7x at 158 to be the fastest car at the event. Great job guys.

Tim

Nice times on that N/A 355!! You should see the 10's in the future. I have been meaning to ask who ported your heads if you don't mind me asking.

Later Jason

Awesome job Tim!!! Nothing like a N/A 355 LT1 out running equally modded LS1 cars, LOL. That is some mad consistency for an M6!!! If we'd of had a spare battery you could have hit the brackets too.
Also congrats to Frank95Z for ripping off a 11.6 with bolt-ons and a cam.
Ken it was good meeting you and congrats on your new best as well, hope you make the drive down from OK again next year.
For those who could not make the trip... make plans now for next year, you won't be disappointed!!!

Congrats Tim I think we were all hoping to see that 10 sec pass too. I hate to say it but I am pretty sure that if you switched to an auto you would easily see 10.90's.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty sure that with the air that we will be having here shortly and I can pull some weight out that I had to add for the thunder shootout I will make my goal of a NA 355 Lt1 6 speed in the 10s. But....can't count on it yet...untill I have the slip its still just a goal...and a damn illusive one at that

JKBadz28...A local guy ported my heads. No big doller shop just a guy that knows what he is doing. They seem to be working well.

TA LT1...I will make it...and I don't need to stinkin auto to do it I knew everyond was pullin for me and I tried my best to live up to it..but it wasn't to be had that day. OH well...next time..maybe.

thaks again guys..next year more lt1 show up so we can give these ls1 guys a little humble pie

Tim

Tim almost 11.7s I did a 11.801 - Just a little bit more than it would be there.

SAR2K - You can count on it of me coming back down again - You have a very strong running car yourself there. Congrats on the 60' times and the 1/4 mile times, its hard to believe the car is running that good for bolt ons.

I took home the 2nd place Modified Auto Class, I was the only LT1 in my class.

My bad ken, I tought you got 11.7s the night before. Still a strong running car either way. It was good seeing you guys again and congrats on the runner up. Look at it this way..two national events..you got runner up in your class at both, Not a bad record.
