new best! (sort of)

Well, finally got a chance to get back out to the track. I finally got the tune dead on and had no knock for the first time, so I was pumped. The weather was lousy, 98% humidity by my last pass. I was running 8.88s to 8.93s all night, which I thought was kinda slow. I was the only LT1 at the track, except for a Z that came near the end. He was running 9.37s. I raced 3 different LS1s, and actually beat them all. I barely edged out a GTO with headers and intake (by ET and mph). Then I took out a LS1 TA that looked exactly like mine, except it was the newer style. Then I beat a m6 Z that had a cold air and drag radials. The LS1s were running 8.9s-9.1s all night. So then I thought, maybe the weather IS that bad. Best run at the track was this:
2.12
8.88
80.91

I got the weather numbers and plugged them in and bam, corrects to
8.74
82.23

My corrected ET jives with my runs last time, since they are a tad quicker which was expected with no knock retard. Would you guys consider a corrected ET a "new best" or just a good yardstick?

Sounds like a good time. For me, best ET is what I have on a timeslip.
