Re: launching a TCI3000 with spray

When I ran my 3000 stall I had mine set 3200-6000. It seem to run good because the converter flashed higher when I sprayed out of the hole.

Yes thanks for that, if my TC will stall higher with the Nitrous should I spray above the stall or below?

I don't want to break anything as this is my DD!

Re: launching a TCI3000 with spray

I went with 3,000rpm and 5,800rpm for the window switch.

I ran the car at Shakespeare County raceway 1/4 mile drag strip.

I did five runs 13.5 being the worst and 13.36 102mph being the best.
My 60ft went from 2.08 to a best of 1.94 although it was 1.97 on the best e/t time of 13.36.

I never had any problem getting the car to hook up and I found the best results were from flashing the converter off the line got me the 1.94 60ft time whuch is ok for street tires.

Although I don't have any pre TCI3000 times because I havn't been to the track before with this car. it should run 13.8 stock with the A4 and 2.73's.

So almost a half a second gain with the TC install is not bad. I noticed I am now hitting the rev limiter in 2nd gear so I need to reduce the mph for the second gear change so I may be loosing a fraction there.

So when I get the LT's install I should be knocking on the door of the 12's without the spray.

I did try to spray the car today but due to either a blocked or faulty Nitrous solonoid I have no Nitrous runs. I would have had some 12's with that working. Because I tried the Nitrous on the way to the track with the Gtech and got a 12.59 at 115mph.

I did try the Gtech at the track to compare it to their timing and I found it was reading about .2 of a second fast and about 5 mph fast. So it's a good indicator of what I should be running.
