New Best @ Thunder Shootout

Ran a 12.35 @ 116.4mph

60' was 1.91 on the Nittos leaving the line @ 800rpm. If I have one thing to bitch about ......Iam still getting a far amount of wheel spin going through the 1-2shift.... Tomorrow I will try leaving @ 1100rpm and drop the Nittos from 28psi to 25psi.

I ran 4 12.3x's....pretty consistant for a M6!

28psi! Damn son, i run 16-18 psi and get low 1.8 sixtys. Go lower and see what works best for you.

Congrats on the new times. Drop the Nittos to 18-20 psi and see how that helps. When I had Nittos I cut a 1.70 60ft. with them at 18 psi. Good luck.

I really hope he sees these posts He needs 18-22 like everyone's mentioning! Maybe less Congrats on the PB's though! Those are DEEP in the 11's if you can muster a 3-4K clutch dump on stickier tires of course.

Yeah, definitely lower the air pressure, I ran 16 in mine and was able to pull a 1.69 60ft. With the only suspension change being lowering springs and that doesn't help traction.

Went back for the races today and got another personal best....

12.29 @ 116.4
1.89 60'

then to back it up

12.29 @ 117.00!
1.98 60'

that trap speed is something i was hoping to get this winter....Man if my 60 would have been a low 1.9 then maybe a 12.1x would have come up....but i all with my e.t.s and mph's from this weekend

I did run in the bracket race and cut a red light in the second round...had to race a car running 10.50's so I got a little greedy on the take off.

congrats on the new best. Hope you like the track. I know our Da was around 1000 ft sat. so not the best of air. Lower that pressure and your 60s will drop

I got the pleasure of getting my butt whupped in modified stock.

Formula 383.....I didn't read the post until last night when I got back so I left the tire pressure @ 28psi. I know I will be going back to the track in a few weeks when the weather gets cooler. I will drop the nittos down like you all are saying to get some lower 60'. Thanks for all the replies!

Thumbs up

I ran my BFG DR's at 14 psi this past weekend. New best 60' of 1.75 and a new best time. Just keep changing it around a little and find out what works best for you. EVERY car is different.

You will be able to tell a difference in dropping the air pressure, I had been running mine at over 20 until my trip to Bristol. I thought that the tires sucked for traction, but now that I have learned the right procedure I really like the them.
