Re: mods for power

dont touch the maf screen...it doesnt affect flow and only serves to smooth out airflow going through the maf

Re: mods for power

if you hit the strip without buying anything you can pull the air filter out, pump the front tiires up to approx. 50psi and drop the rears to 23. Take out all your seats and seatbelts except the drivers seat/belt. Take out your jack/spare and any extra clutter that happens to be in your car. Also take a couple minutes and pull off your front swaybar(6 bolts)...also run with 1/4 tank of gas in the car...that combined should make a difference in your 1320 times...good luck!

ifyou want to spend some cash then i'd start with a set of crappy wheels and mount some hoosier qtp or m/t et streets on em. then slap a 100 wet shot of n2o on the car and you should be able to get a solid 12-second timeslip

Re: mods for power

Actually, a cold air kit and headers were the two best first mods I did to my
'94. I then added drag radials and gears. In your case, drag radials and a torque converter might be more appropriate. But ya, more air in the fronts, less in the rear, unhook the front sway bar, get rid of anything that adds weight (don't forget to vaccum as sand is heavy), stage shallow and have a good time. Basic stuff like a new fuel filter, oil change, plugs and wires should not be overlooked either.

Re: mods for power

If nothing else, a decent set of drag radials will make it much easier to be consistent with and less frustrating to drive.
