Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
Anyone try these out yet? I really like the idea of a GOOD sticky radial tire since I have to drive 30+ miles to any track.
I will be using either the 275/60/15 or 325/50/15 if I can fit them.
How do these compare to ET Streets or ET Drags? I especially value feedback from someone who has used the radials and also the bias ply tires for a true comparison.
I make 476 RWHP and 521 RWTQ do you think I can hook with the radials?

Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I muched prefer them over the ET streets, I find the radials hook a little better, require a much shorter burnout, and consistently trap higher then the et streets.
Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
You ran better 60's with the ET street Radials over regular ET streets? I would like to try a set but don't think they will hook on 200HP n2o which is my next shot on my next outing. LMK
Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
Spinner,
Are you running them on the street? I'd like to buy a set as for my street rims, but am curious has to their life. Any info on your experiences is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve.

Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I've got a couple customers who only run them on the street and they love them. They use the same compound as an ET Street (R6 I think), but have the stiffer sidewall of a radial and don't grow nearly as much as a comparably sized bias-ply.
Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I saw those at the performance store the other day and was wondering about them. I know wet weather is not very good with DR's, but i'm sure they are better than the et streets. Those things just plain suck in water.

RBE17, I dont run them on the street, I cant imagine they'd last too long, they're pretty soft.
Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I just came back from track, I saw several cars run 5.8x's on these.(1/8mi.) I talked to a guy who said they were real close to his slicks, he was pulling 1.3x's 60ft's and standing on the back bumper with the radials. He was running the 325/50/15's. There were several 5-sec cars running them so they must be pretty good.
Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I really like the look of these tires as well... the compound is a little softer than the ET Streets. I wouldn't think they would last too long with regular street driving either. I'd love to try a set of these out on my 17's but I'd hate to have to buy new ones a couple of months down the road. Not to mention, even with my fairly 'built' 10 bolt... I doubt it would hold up very well with these tires running Heads/Cam/Spray

Wet weather tire? Ahh, no.
Re: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I ran 275x60x15-s for the last few months of last season. I ran consistent 1.4xx 60' all day long. Got down to 6.37 at 111. They are great for launching off idle. I couldn't get them to work with the trans-brake. Hopefully, a little more practice and suspension tuning will cure that. I love these tires. Has anyone fit a set of 325's on a fourth-gen yet?
