Lowering? IS it ok for drag?

I am thinking about making it a weekend dragster, and a fun good-handling machine durring the week. Allthough, I am not sure how often I'll be at the track...But I am thinking about lowering my car. I was wondering if lowering it, would effect it much for traction purposes? Or are they bad for drag? Are there better lowering springs than others for my type of aplications? Thanks guys.

I like to think of my car as a cross trainer, decent at both types of racing. A road racing suspension will hurt your 1/4 times as you don't get weight transfer for better launch traction. I'm trying to have it both ways with my QA1 adjustable shocks and Eibach springs. I haven't been real successful so far but it may be mostly the driver
