Installed the new TC

Any tips on how to drive it now I'm guessing it made the car a lot faster but i couldn't tell if you hit it from anything under 40 the tires spin all day long

I turned my street tires into slicks yesterday by the way it's a TCI 3500 TC

so any tips i don't think i could race any body cuz i would just light up the tires for 10 minutes

You might want to buy a set of Drag Radials. I've had both Nitto and BF Goodrich. The BF Goodrich Drag Radials give you the best traction but they wear out fast. I wore mine out in three months or 3000 miles. The Nitto 555 Drags will last you about 15000 miles and still improve you traction dramatically.

Good Luck,

Al

I dont even think nittos will do the trick, your probably gonna need some ets w/ that high stall...and the way chevy rears hold up you'll probably need a new rear down the road from the stress of the launch.

Nittos will hold up for awhile and dramatically improve your traction.
The best bet for the track is ET streets but Nittos make a good street tire for spin happy cars and with a little restraint you should get 15k out of em.

Z rated and all other high speed rated tires are good for high speeds. They are not a drag tire and won't give the same traction as a proper drag tire. High speed tires are designed not to heat up so don't think you can improve traction by trying to do a burnout with them. When a drag tire is heated up it becomes soft and sticky because the oils in the tire are released and they react with the rubber.

The downside is that a drag tire because of the soft rubber compound will wear out very quickly if used on a daily driver.

Keep your Z rated tires for the street and buy an extra set of rims to have drag tires mounted on them for the track.

Nitto DR`s would be a excellent tire for this converter. If people arent hooking on a nitto they arent heating them up enough. Ive seen plenty of 1.6 60 ft cars with that converter on nittos.

My car doesnt hook up in 3rd gear on Nittos. Nittos are a nice street tire, but not nearly as good as a BFG. I'd go ahead and get a set of ET streets, you'll need them sooner or later anyways.
