HP&TQ limits of a Yank ST 3500

HP&TQ limits of a Yank ST 3500? Any one know, Yank said I needed a "SS" 3800, what is the difference in them?

Not trying to be a smarta**, but why not ask Yank? From their website, it implies that the SS is the next step up, with a stronger stator, but it doesn't give much detail. I am sure they will be happy to provide product info.

Well I got that info from an e mail I sent them, I have e mailed and called several times since, I think it is easier to talk to the President that it is to get an answer out of Yank!!
I wanted to know from peope who actually use this converter and under what circumstances they use them under.
I am expecting (hopefully) 500 rwhp out of a solid roller 383, car weight is around 3650lbs with driver. I know that number seems high but before you go cracking me about RWHP numbers , this is not the normal 383 LT1 that is being built.

David: that's a lot of hp and a heavy car. Sounds like a recipe for a strong converter. You can destroy one that isn't built for the hp.
