any wheel spin is to much. all spinning the tires does is cost you et at the drag strip.
when we were kids all we wanted to do was spin the tires, now as adult Drag Racers all we want is total traction.
Hope that takes care of your question.

My car doesnt hook well with the street tires at 26 psi. I was wondering how much wheel spin is tolerable becuase I am trying so hard to not spin I am worried im taking it too easy off the line and consting myself just as bad as whell I dont hook. I give it like 1/4 thorttle for about a sec off the line then 3/4 for a bout 2 secs then floor it. I obviously dont spin like this but is this taking a little too easy considering my traction problems?

Street tires are not good at the track. If you are having problems hooking on the street you will have problems hooking it at the track.

Unless you get lucky and they prep the track real good.

As for controlling the right amount of wheel spin, good luck on that one. Just look for consistent runs that's the game, it will take practice to get it just right. If you have never raced at the strip talk to the people that have and see how they do it. Just don't expect to put up good numbers the first time out.

Good Luck
