How was everyone's season?
I only made it to the track three times but learned what needs to be worked on this winter. Had a best of 14.2 with a 2.2 60' so im pretty happy about that. Remember, this is in Denver where ls1's run low 15's to high 14's stock.
Very good season!
Did even better then what my goal's was. Got my 13.85@103mph with only CAI and cut-out!
Very happy!
But our season is been over for already 1month, and won't be opening t'ill another 6months i figure!

I really like heads up racing, which is why I don't do much racing. There is a local Mustang series that has a nice heads up format where they pair the cars that that are closest in qualifying and have a 0.2sec breakout rule. Not to much sandbagging going on, from what I can tell. Though if there were, two could always pya that game, with the breakout rule keeping it from getting out of hand anyway. I am seriously considering buying/building a car to race in that series.
Too bad there is nothing comparable for Chevy's around here. If I had time, I'd try to organize it.
Rich, why don't you come and race in OSCA? There are several index classes that are run heads up and then the heads up classes. Most races are at Cayuga. I run in True street or sometimes EZ street. Here is the link..check it out. http://www.raceosca.com/

Hey Vince: It look interesting, but I realy don't think I fit too well in any of the "heads up" classes. Not fast enough. But how do the index classes work? Any car in any class? The 10second class looks pretty decent to me. Once I get the combo dialled in, it should run low 10's consistently and it would mile an hour better than what I see in the results.
I may be there next year!

Rich,
The index classes are simple...kinda like the price is right actually. The car that gets there first without going faster then (in your case 10.0) the index wins. The tree is heads up and both cars leave at the same time. The rules are really loose to allow all types of cars with totally different set ups to race in the same class. It would be nice to see you out. Watch the OSCA website...any rule changes for 2004 will be posted this week.
