Going to SLP day Need HELP!!

My best time at a track is 13.8 at 103.75 with a 60' time of 2.25. I need help on how to launch the car. It is an M6 car. I am putting down 288hp and 332 tq. That was also with false knock i think i got taken car of. I will be running kumho ecstas on the back. I usually just spin like mad.....

What times do you think i could run with a good 60'? This track should be preped with vht i hope. How much will that help?

Thanks

Kevin

I've been running a stick for 3 years and they are hard to launch. I'm in the process of converting to an auto. IMO I would get some drag radials either BFG 255-50-16 or Nitto 245-50-16 on SLP take of wheels 8X16. The drag radials hook better than street tires but not as good as et streets and will be easier on your rear. I ran the BFG at 14-15lbs, the Nitto like 16-17lbs. Heat the drag radials until you see smoke then spin up to the line. I launch at 3500 to 3750 dump the clutch, wait for the nose to drop, then feather the gas to the floor. My 60" average between 1.80 to 1.90. The 60' times change the et by 1.5 times. Reduce your 60" by .30 and your ET will drop by .450. Takes practice. Good luck.

Be sure you install a LT4 knock sensor module. This is needed when headers are installed. The stock module "hears" the extra noise from the headers and thinks its engine knock.

I will be at the SLP Englishtown NJ event.
