First time at the track
First time at the track
Went to a track down here in georgia. It was only an 1/8th mile but still wanted to go. Drove about 60 miles to get there and had a blast. I was a bit disapointed with my times though. My two best runs where 8.438@85.3 with a 2.02 60' and a 8.551 @86.5 with a 2.119 60' I was running street tires so I know that was one of my problems I have LCA's, ADJ PHB, LT's, LM Cat back with !cats. SSRA LID Ported MAF, Ported TB smooth bellow and a shift kit. Its an A4. With 3.23 rear.
Don't really know what these times with equate to in the 1/4. I know I need some DR's or Slicks but don't go to the track but once a month. DR's are one of my future mods. With LCA relo brackets help with those 60's or are 2.02 about the best you can get with street tires. Will a adj torque arm help at all.
Also on my launches it didn't seem like I was getting to much weight transfer to the rear. The left front was lifting a bit but not much. Don't want to change my ride height but need something to transfer the weight to the rear a bit more I heard that some people are using V6 springs in the rear, does that work or is there another option for stock ride height.
Any help is greatly appriciated and welcome.

LCA relocator brackets will definitely help.
Better than 2.00 on most street tires is very tricky. Some have reported that certain brands will hook better at the track but my GSCs would break loose any time that I tried to push them harder than that.
Forget the v-6 springs that's just a bandaid. Letting the rear end squat is not the proper way to achieve weight transfer.
Take your front sway bar off before you go to the track next time. That will help.
Traction and a high stall converter would get you into the 7s in the 1/8. Food for thought.
