Figuring 0-60mph time from 1/4 times?

I'm curious what my cars 0-60mph time would be now, is there a way it can be figured from 1/8 or 1/4 mile stats? Here were my latest (best) stats:

60'.........1.983
330...... 5.425
1/8.........8.238
mph......86.84
1000.....10.665
1/4........12.696
mph.....111.37

Just wondering if there is any sort of formula to determine 0-60mph times from these #'s. Thanks.

Greg it looks like your Hotcam car is hauling for a 1.9 60' and this kind of weather. My car ran very similar et's last year with stcock 3.23's 12.51 best and a couple 12.60's 61's @107mph but with a 1.73 60'. That little cam makes some good troque. Mine is in the forsale section and i will be installing new cam, lifters, spring, retainers and timing chain. Later Clint

Hmmm, according to that it would run a 3.93 0-60mph. I figured it must do pretty good, I was just curious with all the talk of "great" 0-60 times of some of the new cars out latley. Thanks

T/A LT1, yeah I'm pretty happy with it so far. I thought it would pull a little better up top though, it doesn't pull much past 6000rpm. I may change out the LT4 springs for something a little better and see if that helps.

Thanks for the link! I have measured 0-60 times with Datamaster, and the calculator in this link showed the same results. Pretty accurate!
I usually run the DM at the track, so I can see/compare the times at the track and the ones recorded by the DM.

I have to ask "why?". 0-60 is a pretty meaningless yardstick. Time to speed doesn't win races, it's time to distance.

I once took the time to do a mathematical correlation of 1/4-mile to 0-60mph times, by taking the results from the "road test" summaries in magazines like Road & Track, Car & Driver, etc. With a database of over 200 road tests, I found, that in the range of cars turning 11.5 - 14.5 second 1/4-mile times, the difference between 0-60mph time and 1/4-mile time was a very consistent 8.5-seconds. That would put Gregg's Z at 4.2 seconds.

I know it's pretty meaningless in drag racing otherwise they would probably include it in the slip. I was just wondering if it could be determined from 1/4 stats and curious what mine was

mines 1.6 seconds

I can't push my car to 60mph. I know it's a lot lighter without the enging and trans.

Well, ok then

I used the calculator and got 2.4sec. I can't believe that it's accurate, seems way too quick to me.

As far as 1.6sec goes, all I can say is I plugged in 5.76 @ 114 and got 1.6sec. But the only F-body I could see running 5.76sec in the 1/8th would be something really extreme. That would be a 9 second car, more or less.

Guess I should have read the sig. But it looks like the faster the car, the less accurate the 0-60 time.

60mph = 27m/s/1.6sec = 16.9m/s^2 = 1.7G avg acceleration over 1.6sec.

Seems high? Maybe not. Anyone actually have an G readings? Does the G-Tech give G readings?
