Haven't been lately, last time i was there was about a month ago watching.
I hope to get down there before the snow.
Let me know when you are going and we can arrange to meet. Or just look for me - I pit over in the paved area. Green Silverado towing a ratty white trailer. The car is pretty distinctive - silver 27T Roadster.

Re: Ever lose by 0.001 second?

I've had two real close races that come to memory. Both were in the same day as a matter of fact.

First one it was me that won by .001. Racing a really fast (at the time) first gen Camaro ~ he was running mid 10's to my high 12's. I got off the gas at the end since I felt I was far enough ahead and he flew by me right at the traps. Turns out it was for the best since I cut a mediocre light, but was en route to breaking out. Next three rounds I ran a 12.914 <- quarters semi and final round.... Fairly consistent w/ a stick .

Anyways.. In the final round I went up against a fox body mustang. He dialed in a 12.6X and I dialed in a 12.91. Off the line we both had almost identical reaction times... And by the 60' we were nearly neck and neck. My 2.0X 60' couldn't hold a candle to his 1.6X. He in fact probably had me by a little... I just remember hitting 3rd and pulling ever so slightly on him and keeping that distance the remainder of the track. We got our slips and my heart was racing. I ended up winning by .004 . The guy I raced pulled up, got out of his car and shook my hand on a good run. He even said he'd rather go out like that versus getting blown away. I got another handshake out of him when he saw I ran right on my number w/ a M6.

That's all I got to say about that .

I'll miss my car
