Question Electric Cutout question???

Just bought a 94 z28 6 speed. I was thinking about putting an electric cutout on it right before the cat... good idea? Also what size pipe is that, 3'' 3.5''?

I think putting the cutout after the cat is good. The cut doesn't impede flow much and keeping it after the cat may make the pollution police happier. Not to mention the rumble, noise and exhaust fumes will be behind you. If it is stock tail pipe I believe the diameter is 2.75"

i replaced the cat with the cutout, i tried a qtp electric cutout but ut wouldn't line up any way except for the actuator pointing straight down which gave NO clearance so i just did the manual cutout, and i can open it no prob with out jacking up the car, and it is lowered
