Do you remember when???

Having a 13 second car meant something. I didn't know what it would take to get my lt1 into the 13s but I found out real quick. The first time out it ran 13s stock. Back then, that was impressive. Now...the car runs 11s N/A, but that is no longer impressive. With typical family cars running low 14s now, what do you consider impressive for a street car anymore?

Re: Do you remember when???

I am for sure getting an AI top end this year and hopefully I can hit 11s. I still think 11s is quick. Then I'm retiring from the car modding hobby. Hit my goal of 11s and that's it I'm done. I know there are a lot of cars straight outta the factory putting out 400+ HP, but still aren't near 11s at the track, low 13s high 12s.
HMM....... but if I put on some nitrous maybe I can hit 10s. No, not doing it. I'm retiring I forgot.

Yea, I found out real quick there's a difference between bench racing and reality at the track....lol. First time out I was predicting low 13's...nope high 13's. Second time out I thought I had all the bugs taken care of and did some more mods. Hoped for low 12's...nope, 13 flat...lol. You are right though...now adays if you don't have a low 12 second street car might as well pack your bags. It's tough to keep up with the jone's of the car business. I'm not one to keep selling/buying to keep up so I'll just keep what I got and be happy.
