Re: cool temps = new best et.

Basics on the car 383 with afr heads and holley commander 950 fuel control with holley throttlebody. 4.88 gears and a turbo 400 trans. Converted to manual steering, race weight 3100lbs.

I can't find the time slips on the Magnum I think it was high fourteens and around 98mph. If I can find the slips I will post them.No traction problems with the AWD !!!

That is a really fast N/A 383 considering the race weight. Which # AFR LT heads and cam are you running? Also what size slicks w/ the 4.88s and what is your trap RPM.

My LT 396 w/ AFR 195s has a best of 11.22 @ 119.3 (1.61 60ft) w/ a 3485 race weight (3.73s and 26" ET Streets). I'm planning to add a 12 bolt w/ 4.30s and 28" slicks which I hope move the 60 ft times down into the 1.50s.

Re: cool temps = new best et.

I have the 190 LT-1 competiton package heads which I beleive are no longer available.
The camshaft is a custom grind by my engine builder.
trap rpm is right around 7600
I am using 29x10.50x15 hoosier slicks.

The Holley system is for the lt1 engine I use a fuel map that Holley has on there website that we have made some modifications too. It is programable with a laptop and has the ability to" go along for the ride" to see what is going on.

Those AFR heads don't appear to be too large. Also, what compression ratio are you running?

12.8 J&E pistons were used. Motor was built in 2001 I put 300 runs on it and did a freshen up winter of 04-05 it showed no signs of wear.
