I'll transfer this to Drag Racing since it doesn't really fit here or in LT1 "engine" Tech.

FJ Smith (www.smithperformance.com) has a nice piece. Their customer service is very good as well. Very friendly/helpful.

Re: Convert Power To Manual Steering

I got a Madman rack. Just like Smith's it's a Pinto-style rack w/ the bump steer kit. I got mine for a stock mounts and it went on my BMR K-member just fine. It's slightly lighter than stock (saved maybe 20# tops w/ the deleted pulley, lines, fluid and different rack) and the ratio is MUCH better than the power rack. Took about 2 hours to put on. I did have to drill out the holes on the spindle, but if you use a low-speed drill and plenty of fluid, it cuts just fine and won't crack.

Madman rack bolts in very easily, you have to drill out the spindles a little but it's easy.

Did you hve to change the steering box?Does he weld the mounting pads to the rack to fit fbodies or will they just bolt up as a stock pinto rack?
