Re: Congrats Clint

Thanks man. I am looking to get this running a little quicker maybe add some boost to the T/A along with the 150shot. What you think? Well it needs a rollcage first but I'd rather go fast first. Later Clint

Re: Congrats Clint

Yeah well the seats are a project that I am looking to get started on in the next few weeks but I haven't decided on what seat to go with and I want them to be upholstered in tan cloth so I will have to have the covers custom made. The carpet does have the padding removed for a few pounds but it's staying for now.
James I should have kept that shortblock so I could have just bought some new dish pistons and would have been ready to go with 15+psi of boost. That way I wouldn't have no downtime but it's alright. I am thinking of going with a small blower or turbo just to make 6-8psi and keep a 150shot on it to run deep 9's. Later Clint

Re: Congrats Clint

Yeah, I have the same seats, when ever I have to take those things out its a real chore. Taking them out is easy, but getting them lined up on the 4 bolts, you figure out how heavy they are really fast. I want after market seats but I want to be some what comfortable, those stock TA seats are heavy but they are nice.

Thats cool James it costs too much to ship that bad baoy from what you told me LOL. I think if I decide togo that route I will just pull the motor and put some new dish pistons in it along with a cam swap. Later

Re: Congrats Clint

Clint,
Congratulations on the excellent coverage in GM HighTech!! I have moved to Tennessee although my car is still in Lafayette waiting for the 383 install. I am sorry we never got together...would have luved to see ur car run having heard so much about it even before I moved to Lafayette. In any event, great article on a fast car...well-deserved. Hope all is well w/ you and yours!!

Thanks!
Mike
