Centerline Telestar Question

Ok, I'm in a dilemma. I want to start running a skinny/slick combo at the track, but here's the problem. I want to be able to swap back to street rims for the street, and not have the longer required wheel studs sticking out of the lugnuts looking all rediculous. So, that said, having head that the Telestar is a direct bolt on, I just want to be certain.

No longer studs needed, just throw them on and use acorn lugnuts, correct??

Thanks guys.

Yea, they just fit. Note 28" tires on the front will rub the inner fenderwells when turning. 26" fit fine. http://gallery.godragracing.com/raci...-2003/IMG_8546

Good to know. Thanks a bunch. I'm just happy to finally have a positive answer that's going to let me retain street rims without looking all goofy.

Just tring to help out.

I went to the track twice with the new setup but with my diff being smoked, I could only cut a 2.0 60'. But before it smoked at the track I had done a number of holeshots on the street and it felt pretty decent.

Hope the page helps ya.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm basically looking for something that's going to help me harness in my power/Street Twin without being overkill on my rear (stock 10 bolt). Just looking to get back into the low 1.9's. Once I get a12 bolt in, I don't know what I'm going to do though.

According to GMHTP, very little if any at all is needed.

THey fit on my car and let a friend of mine that goes by the name of GREASE on the forum use them. They fit fine on his car which is a 95 Z28, which is basically the same car as my 96.

No grinding on either..but it is close up front..but they do fit.

Good, I want to get some race wheels eventually but don't want to have to grind. I'll have to check these out when it's time.

If my memory serves me correctly,

Over a stock salad shooter/stock factory tire up front 14-15 lbs for each side up front.

Going from a stock salad shooter/well worn and bald 255 BFG DR I think 1-2 lbs in the back per side. It would be more I am sure over a stock tire or a fully treaded 255 BFG DR.

I always look at rolling resitence as to me carrying 10 lbs on my back vs. carrying 5 lbs strapped to each ankle...what is gonna hinder me more?

I drove up to Jason's (CANTONRACER'S) house, swapped wheels in 10 minutes and drove to the track. They went right on with no clearance issues. However his tire sizes lowered my car about half and inch. I had very consistent 60ft times compared to the BFGs I had on salad shooters. they hook alot better too, although I limit my 60fts to 1.8 (stock rearend )
