what do u think,i have a 1995 z28,ok not even 5speed.this kid in town talking **** saying he can beat any car in town and i race him.he has a 16g gst all done up..he says 260 to the wheels with 18lbs,but any way i race him and only beat me by a car and a half to two cars.the said thing isvmy throttle cable is bad.it won't open up all the way..also bone stock z28

 

Start modding and race him again. I doubt his eclipse is "all done up". He is making ~10-20 more hp @ the wheels than your Z28 and probably also has a traction advantage. Turbo cars are no joke (unless its a civic) and can make pretty impressive numbers. Did you race from a roll or dig? Where did you cut out at? A little more detail would be nice.

This forum is for racing at the track. I highly suggest you try it as you will probably keep your license longer, stay out of jail, and actually be able to quantify the results of your modifications and driving ability.

 

GSTs are front-wheel drive. GSXs are all wheel drive. No traction advantage in this case.

 

we did a 30 roll and a 60 roll.he was to scared to race from a dig..all done up meaning he has pretty much the same stuff as a evo.turbo,injectors,front mount..stuff like that.my throttle cable is pretty much shot.see it will not open all the way so i was not even given for power like i should be.

 

well when the track is about 2hours away and its about 12;00 at night where can u go??and u can not do a roll at a track..i love to race from a dig but have to make the little baby happy

Anyone who won't race from a standing start knows they have no traction off the line or their car is a real slug out of the hole. You won't win any races if you sit there and spin the tires or bog out of the hole.

 

If hes talking crap, tell him to go from a dig and back it up. Ull rip him a new one from a dig.

 

Yeah all V8 4th gen f-bodies are either 4L60E four speed automatics or six speed manuals.
