9 sec owners

How did your car start off? Were they just bolt on cars that it eventually snow balled or did you build it up from the minute you got it?

I prety much parked mine but it wont be getting built up for atleast another 2 years, untill I can finish up school. When I do I want to go all out with it. I have no real desire for it to stay any thing near streetable at all.

Well

It started as a 383 with a 150 shot. I built up everything for a 400 shot and then after 7 tranny's I got a bullet proof one and then went big time on the engine.

Other than using NOS, you're not going to see too many 9 second rides with just "bolt ons"

Mine was relatively stock when I bought it. The previous owner pulled the L98 and installed a 383 stroker. The first season I managed to get it into the low 14's. That was 4 years ago. Now with a BBC, alcohol and no power adder, I'm knocking on the 9 second door even at altitude.

Had a 94 Z28 that was in the tens with a mild 383 and a T trim aftercooled kit. I sold that car and all the parts and bought my 95 Z28 as a roller and built that car from day one. Going out this weekend looking for solid 8's. I am finally ready for the 2004 season.

Re: 9 sec owners

mine started off totally stock then one day I tore it down and built it over the summer. Its running low 10's at 129 on a 175 shot, but I just added another 75 that should push it to high 9's.It is still driven weekly and retains a full leather interior and a/c with a stereo.
