IMO, it would be worth your time & money to simply buy a spare 10-bolt, for when you grenade the one in your car now. It's also much cheaper than a 12-bolt.
I know I'm on borrowed time with mine (especially with all the bearing noise I have) and am planning accordingly for the day/night I tear it up launching NA on drag radials with only 1.9x 60' times. Good luck, but honestly, if you are considering spraying on the launch, you do know your rearend is doomed, right?

Yes, stock stall, stock rear 3.23's (or whatever GU5 code is for '93), and for the most part, a stock LT1 motor. No shift kit, no chip just yet, and a lot of weight reduction still to do. Stock steel driveshaft, stock torque arm, stock panhard & lca's, but I have some BMR stuff left over from my '95 that is going on there pretty much as soon as I get a chance. I use an air bag in the right rear, at about 15-20psi, and bfg drags at anywhere from 28lbs to 22lbs of air depending on the track conditions.
I launch at about 14-1500 rpm brake-torqued, and manually shift from 1-2 and then 2-3 because it netted me almost .4 quicker times - the tranny wants to shift around 4500rpm vice 5500 when on its own.

It's better to be prepared for it to break and have it hold together than to assume it will hold together and have it break.

I really hope you have a driveshaft loop just in case you hook up. Breaking the rear is all about shock on launch. The better you hook and more violent the launch the better the odds that something will break. I have seen 13 second cars break the rear. I broke mine twice until I wised up and installed a 12 bolt. On my car I could get about 400 passes out of a basically stock rear with 3.73s and a TA cover back when it was slower... 1.8 type launches... I have seen guys go much quicker on the stock rear but sooner or later, when it is least expected and least convenient, it will break. It is only a question of "when".

my best pass (bolt on car) on a track thats 5-60 feet short of a true 8th is 7:86 with a opti that died later the next day. Average times for 60 foot were from 1:80-1:85. I'm running a 305 DR on a stock 16" firebird rim. 3:42's 2600-2800 stall, with tubular control arms and relocation brackets.

You didn't run a 7:86, you ran a 7.86.
And you don't have 3:42 gears, you have 3.42:1 gears.
