3200 stall, 383, ET streets, stock rear...how should I launch?
3200 stall, 383, ET streets, stock rear...how should I launch?
Last time out at the track I was launching off idle for fear of breaking my rear. I had 60 foots in the high 1.7x range.
What rpm should I be preloading the rear end to before hammering it?
I have a 3200 stall, stock rear with 3.73 gears and ET streets.
1500? 2000?

Take it to the limit until it breaks then upgrade to something stronger.
Launching off the foot brake isn't as hard on parts as everyone thinks. Stock parts can break driving on the street. You just take your chances until something does break.
