2nd trip to the track!!!

Hey y'all, went to the track again last thursday night. Made a drastic improvement over my previous trip.

Time slip data:

Run # 1 2
R/T .848 .702
60' 2.16 2.12
1/8 9.215 9.044
MPH 75.40 77.95

Getting better. I was slipping the clutch out of the hole from about 3500-4000, but i think i need to slip it more because that second run it felt like it bogged a little too much. I'm running Kumho Ecsta Supras and it won't spin them...haven't tried a redline drop, but I'm sure theres enough traction on that track to kill something good. Tranny still doesn't like me, grinds while shifting so I was double clutching it, should be getting fixed this week. Anyways, just wanted to post my progress, I'm getting better....still got a long ways to go.

Looks Good. On that second run, you were on your way to about a 14.0-14.1 second 1/4 mile run, judging by your 60' time and 1/8 mile speed (if your car is stock)

You must have shifted bad in the first run, because your speed should have been a little better at the 1/8 mile mark with that 60' time.

This is all just based on comparing your times to mine. I couldn't do better than a 2.2 60' time my first trip to the track, which resulted in a 14.4 1/4 mile time. I'm hoping to get it down to 2.0 at least.

I wasn't used to the extra traction at the track and kept bogging off the line.

I found the traction killed my launch so i slipped the clutch and it went way better. The first run, I couldn't hit 3rd...having problems with the T56. Second run I got it in there and picked up the 2 MPH. On my first run (on a previous post) I ran 9.95 @ 80MPH. wierd...
