Unhappy 15.0@96 vs 14.3@96 Question

This truly puzzles me.

After installing my hooker Comps I was really hoping for not only a better time, but also be going faster at the end of the 1/4. When I first started with my car, stock, it ran a 15.0 @ 96mph. Now, after several mods (all the free mods etc) it runs a 14.3@96mph. Why does my mph not go up? In fact it actually dropped sometimes down to 95.x! I know for a fact it is not better traction, I'm turning 2.2 60's vs 2.0 when I started (Kumho vs Goodyear Eagles. )

Anyone want to help me out on this one?

Their is to many other variables to pin point the problem. Weather, track prep, etc...

Weather alone could be the cause... Too many possibilities and too little detail to help without more information.

You are doing better then before. That's not to bad of a time for a 3rd gen. Also your 60ft times are killing you. You've cut a 2.0, and got a 15.0 now with a 2.2 your cutting 14.3. If you can get a good 60ft I bet your times will be somewhere in the 13.8-14.1 around 98-101 mph. Get some ET streets and that will get you there.

I don't see the traps going up at all with a better 60 foot time, should not matter on the big end even if it helps ET. I am guessing that there are other restrictions up stream. Too many variables without knowing all that has been done to the car.
