14.68@100.7 whats wrong?

Thats the best I can do, car runs great. All new ignition, new tires. The time is on the g tech. My mods are cai and tb bypass. Engine has 132k miles. I've changed the tranny filter. I'm thinking fuel filter next. Any other ideas?

Theres guys running 14.0 at 97 which is the same mph I'm running, gtech is 2-3 mph higher than a track. I launched at full throttle with no wheelspin. I guess I should go to a track and see. Its just always bothered me that the g tech says 14.6 I've tried it many times on different days.

Why don't you take it to the track and find out for real?

How is it possible to launch at full throttle in an AUTO? Do you mean just flooring it when the green lights up?

If you can floor the car and it won't spin street tires, then it's missing alot of power.

Get a tune up.

Wink

You really need to take it to the track and get some baseline runs. Then the mods begin...

How sure are you that you were on a perfectly level road? How sure are you that you had the g-Tech correctly aligned on all 3 axes? Both of these can screw things up. I think the estimate of the g-Tech being 2-3 MPH high is optimistic... I've seen them off by as much as 6 to 8 MPH. ET is usually within 2/10's though, assuming you were on a level road. It's really not an accurate way to estimate track performance. More useful for establishing a relative baseline, then comparing the results of any changes.... did it make it better or worse? But it isn't necessarily going to tell you how it runs at the track. And, even when evaluating the affect of changes, you need to always use the same stretch of road, and correct for ambient conditions.

Here's the situation. The G-tech measures your speed at the exact 1/4 mile mark.

At the track, it is averaged over the last portion of the track, which makes the mph numbers a little lower.

The G-tech will always read higher because of this.

Sounds like you had a fairly bad launch, but the top end seems about right if you drop about 2-3 mph off.
