13.9 w/ 1.9 60ft. whatsnext?
well i got a 97 z28i just picked up and it was bone stock... 68,000 miles with a a4- ran a 14.49, then a 14.37, and finally got a 14.28 the last pass. 1st time ever to the track.... i have never raced anything before either and boy did i love it.......
the only thing the car had was a cai w/ a crappy muffler on it.. so i got home from work the next night and got a buddy from a exhaust shop to put me a hooker muffler on it and i ordered some 3.73's i installed them a few days later and i also found the pcv valveelbow melted and my throttle body boot was tucked in the tb..
fixed that and put a 160 therm. and i got a local guy to do a tune to raise my shift points to 6100 for 1-2 and 6000 for 2-3 and disable knock sensor and all the other things he does with the tune.
went back to the track a couple weeks latr and ran a 13.9 with a 1.9 60f i still have spare tire and everything in there and i also have 2 jl w3 12's in a big custom built box with 2 amps on the rear deck so i know that counts for some weight.... and the weather was very hot and humid being in louisiana...
but i guess the whole point in this thread is to know how much is a stall and headers going to pick the car up? i know i will prolly be going with hooker super comp lt's and their ory pipe, so what stall do i need to go with.... i would like to know a good quality but also affordable...... i would just like some input on some mods i should be lookingto do next to help with my et's... thanks yall and love the forum im on here everynight...
