10.47 @ 131 M6

Went to Englishtown for SLP day on Saturday and the weather was great. My best previous was a 10.72 @ 130 with a 1.58 60'. On Saturday I ran two passes at:

60' 1.557 1.558
1/8 6.90 6.70
mph 101.2 103.5
1/4 10.479 10.478
mph 131.19 131.78

It was breaking up at the top of each gear, me thinks the opti is commin' apart again. It proabaly had a 10.3x in it. Oh well, I'm happy with this as it is the last time this combo will run together. I said to myself at the beginning of the year that I would be happy if it ran a 10.50 so I made that goal . Taking it apart this weekend. Next year's goals are 10.50 on motor and 9.50 on spray with the 6sp. Got a few tricks I'm gonna try

Thanks Taner, I couldn't have done it without your help on the phone that night. Thanks again for everything. I'll call you soon and talk some things over.

P.S. Your record will be safe from me next year , we still have and will keep a road race suspension as the car is dual purpose. Plus I assume you will be upping the ante this winter

Re: 10.47 @ 131 M6

believe me it is my pleasure to have helped!!!!! i am glad it is coming together nicely for you!

who's done this year.... not me :P
stll got thunder and i will have brand new valve springs on the car. i pulled 2 so far, both inner springs broken, 100 in.lbs on the seat, and 365 over the nose, oops! think i was losing a bit of power i only hope to raise the bar some more before the end of the year! and then over the winter some minor stuff, like port the 227's i too want 10.50s on motor!

i have a custom blanket made! i sleep better at night knowing it is on there! it wasn't cheap but oh well, none of this **** is, lmao!!!!

Kick a$$ Taner.

As for the blanket, I don't have anything right now and my toes are awfully unhappy about it. We're making major changes to the car this winter with the new G-force t56 being one of them, I plan on fabbing something up or making something work.
